What's the opportunity?

The successful applicant will participate in a unique and exciting phase of growth. Operating for less than two years, we are a true start-up. Last year, we launched our PCB Bare Board ordering platform. This year, we’ve launched the ability to order full PCB Assembly projects. It’s unlike anything else available; we couldn’t be more excited about the impact it will have (and everything that’s coming next!). We’re looking for another amazing developer to join our team and grow with us.

Our salary ranges are based on industry averages. We may not keep pace with some of the larger shops, but we make up for it with our employee equity/profit sharing program, in which you will benefit directly from our future success as it's happening.

Can the position be remote?

​

Yes! We are a fully remote-enabled team and will continue to operate as a hybrid office as the world gets back to “normal”. That means we are accepting applications from individuals located anywhere. However, at this time, we have a strong preference to operate within Western hemisphere timezones. We also plan to get everyone together in one place to collaborate and get to know one another for a few days every 2-3 months (where possible, and when conditions allow). Currently, our headquarters are in Kitchener, ON, Canada.

What will I be doing? 

​

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and developing awesome features in our platform from end-to-end. When we say “Full Stack”, we mean it - this role will include everything necessary to deliver great software. We’re looking for self-starters who are excited to learn new things. We want someone who approaches work holistically, owns outcomes, and gets excited about delivering maximum value through their work.

What skills/experience are preferred?

​

• Comfortable working across the entire software development stack

• Practical on-the-job experience with web development in a JavaScript eco-system (particularly: React, TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL); preferably in a functional-style

• An eye (and passion) for great UI/UX

• Comfortable with DevOps tasks:

  • CI/CD

  • Automated Testing (Unit/User)

  • Public Cloud Infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS/Serverless preferred)

• Master of clear and empathetic asynchronous communication

• Comfortable communicating and presenting effectively to any audience

• Bonus background knowledge/experience:

  • ​​Electronics design/manufacturing

  • 3D rendering technologies

  • Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence methodologies

  • Image Processing/Recognition techniques

  • Python/C++ development

  • Product Management/Ownership
